YABATECH announces cut-off marks

Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has approved cut-off marks for the 2021/2022 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) for its National Diploma (ND) programme.

Deputy Registrar Joe Ejiofor spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos.

The official said that the marks were released by the Admission Committee after its meeting on Thursday.

About 9,000 candidates took part in the Post-UTME held online in February, Ejiofor disclosed.

Ejiofor noted that the cut-off marks were authentic as against those circulating on the internet.

He advised candidates who sat for the institution’s examination to visit the college portal to check their scores.

Science Laboratory Technology has the highest cut-off mark – 62.62, followed by Computer Science – 60.87.

Electrical Electronics Engineering – 60.67; Public Administration – 60.65; Accountancy – 60.62, among others.

The White Witches Association of Nigeria, WWAN, has cautioned Vice President Yemi Osinbajo against running for the Presidency in 2023. WWAN said God did not program Osinbajo to become Nigeria’s President in 2023; hence he would not win if he decided to contest. The spokesman of the witches and the former board member of the Edo State Traditional Council during the administration of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Dr Iboi Okhue, said God sent Osinbajo for a particular mission. Okhue disclosed that Osinbajo would conclude the mission God sent him on May 29, 2023.

ASUU strike: Nwajiuba says FG working on alternative funding structure for universities The Nigerian government is currently working on proposals it can use to resolve the ASUU strike, including a new scheme in which universities implement a different way of earning funds. This was disclosed by Emeka Nwajiuba, former Minister of State for Education and a presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in an interview with Channels TV on Sunday. He stated that the implementation of alternative funding structures is a necessity for university autonomy.
