Ohanaeze gives Obiano ultimatum
Apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, OYC, has reacted angrily to the fracas involving Amb. Bianca Ojukwu, widow of late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and wife of former Anambra Governor, Ebelechukwu Obiano. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cancelled the proposed emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 17. The decision to cancel the meeting may not be unconnected to the letter written by President Muhammadu Buhari , which directed Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni to return as the chairman of the caretaker committee. ASUU declares indefinite strike, plans increased media engagement
ASUU President, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke The Academic Staff Union of Universities has declared a total and indefinite strike. The decision was taken at a meeting of the union’s National Executive Council held on Sunday in Abuja. The PUNCH reports that the union started its ongoing strike on February 14, 2022.
