A federal appeals court has rejected a copyright lawsuit over Marshmello’s 2018 smash hit “Happier,” ruling that the DJ’s accuser signed away any rights to his earlier song.

An electronic music producer named Arty claimed that “Happier” borrowed elements from his 2014 remix of OneRepublic’s “I Lived,” but a federal judge tossed out the case last year.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has finally arrested Rochas Okorocha, an All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential aspirant. Source: Daily Post Nigeria EFCC picked up Okorocha from his residence in the Maitama area of Abuja on Tuesday evening. The anti-graft agency had earlier invaded the residence of the former Imo State governor in an attempt to arrest him. EFCC declares Rivers Accountant-General, others wanted for N435bn fraud The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has declared the Rivers State Accountant-General, Fubara Siminayi, and 58 others wanted for N435 billion fraud. Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has asked Nigerians not to support or vote for some presidential aspirants who claimed their nomination forms were purchased for them by groups. DAILY POST recalls that the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi and other aspirants had claimed that some groups purchased their Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, nomination form for them. But Obasanjo, who spoke during a colloquium to mark the 61st birthday of Pastor Itua Ighodalo in Lagos, said the aspirants lied to Nigerians and should not be voted in the forthcoming presidential election. Tim shared pictures of himself and his wife-to-be, identified as Erica, on his Instagram page on Thursday. Bianca, wife of late Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, may have taken a slapping lesson from her late husband, if Reno Omokri’s suggestion is anything to take home. As DAILY POST well covered, drama ensued at the inauguration of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as the sixth Governor of Anambra State on Thursday. Wife of outgoing Gov. Willie Obiano, Ebelechukwu and Mrs Bianca Ojukwu engaged in a physical combat during the event. DAILY POST gathered that dignitaries including Obiano were seated when Mrs Obiano stepped in and moved to the front row where Bianca was seated before the fight began, and video footage shows the Ojukwu’s widow slapping the ex-Governor’s wife. We are quizzing ex-Gov Obiano over misappropriation of N42bn state funds – EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says former Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra was being quizzed over the alleged misappropriation of N42 billion belonging to the state. An authoritative source in the EFCC disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja. The source said the former governor was being interrogated over the alleged misapplication of N5 billion Sure-P and N37 billion security vote, withdrawn in cash. According to the source, part of the funds was also allegedly diverted to finance political activities in the state. The Commission on Friday told NAN that the former governor was in its custody undergoing interrogation after his arrest on March 17. Obiano was arrested on Thursday at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos and brought to Abuja on Friday morning. The Commission said the former governor had not been released.
