Gunmen bomb Ohanaeze President’s home in Imo

-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Prof George Obiozor located in Awo- Omamma in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State has been bombed by unknown gunmen.

It was gathered that the suspects used Improvised Explosives Devices, IED and petrol bombs to raze the building.

Eyewitnesses from the Awo-Omamma community claim the unknown gunmen drove into the compound about 6:15am, Saturday, shot indiscriminately for over 15 minutes before setting the building ablaze, DAILY POST reports.

Confirming the incident, Micheal Abattam, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, said “officially there was no report of lives lost.”

Witches warn Osinbajo against contesting for Presidency

The White Witches Association of Nigeria, WWAN, has cautioned Vice President Yemi Osinbajo against running for the Presidency in 2023. WWAN said God did not program Osinbajo to become Nigeria’s President in 2023; hence he would not win if he decided to contest. The spokesman of the witches and the former board member of the Edo State Traditional Council during the administration of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Dr Iboi Okhue, said God sent Osinbajo for a particular mission. Okhue disclosed that Osinbajo would conclude the mission God sent him on May 29, 2023.

ASUU strike: Nwajiuba says FG working on alternative funding structure for universities The Nigerian government is currently working on proposals it can use to resolve the ASUU strike, including a new scheme in which universities implement a different way of earning funds. This was disclosed by Emeka Nwajiuba, former Minister of State for Education and a presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in an  interview  with Channels TV on Sunday. He stated that the implementation of alternative funding structures is a necessity for university autonomy. What the former minister is saying Nwajiuba apologised to Nigerian students for the continued strike, taking responsibility as their minister. “On behalf of the FG, we want issues to be understood. We have had nearly 15 strikes in 20 years.
