Nigeria international, Kelechi Iheanacho, has said that three football legends, Ronaldinho, Sergio Aguero and Jamie Vardy inspired his football career.


Iheanacho said he loves watching them and learned a lot from the trio.


The Leicester City star said this while speaking to FIFA’s official website ahead of Nigeria’s 2022 FIFA World Cup 

playoff against Ghana on Friday night.

“Growing up, I loved Ronaldinho,” Iheanacho said.

“I loved his style of play, confidence, and the way he loved football. The way he dribbled, the way he played, passed his touches. He is one of the greatest players of all time.

“They [Sergio Aguero and Jamie Vardy] are two legends,” Iheanacho added.

One of the Nigerian top gospel singers, Tim Godfrey, has revealed the name of his fiancée, who accepted his proposal on Valentine’s Day. Tim shared pictures of himself and his wife-to-be, identified as Erica, on his Instagram page on Thursday. Strike continues as ASUU NEC fails to suspend action

The industrial action by members of the Academic Sftaff Union of Universities, ASUU, will continue as members of the National Executive Council, NEC, of the union did not consider the option of suspending the action at its meeting which ended in the early hours of Monday in Abuja. Checks by Vanguard showed that the national leadership of the union only briefed the meeting on their interactions and submissions made to the Prof. Nimi Briggs Committee set up the Federal Government to renegotiate the 2009 Agreement with the union. Bianca, wife of late Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, may have taken a slapping lesson from her late husband, if Reno Omokri’s suggestion is anything to take home. As DAILY POST well covered, drama ensued at the inauguration of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as the sixth Governor of Anambra State on Thursday. Wife of outgoing Gov. Willie Obiano, Ebelechukwu and Mrs Bianca Ojukwu engaged in a physical combat during the event. The delegates who stormed the voting arena alleged that electoral officials were assisting the delegates who could not write, contrary to the announcement made earlier by the electoral committee that only one electoral official attached to each state would be allowed. Some delegates from Rivers State have alleged rigging in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary at the Eagle Square Abuja.
