My darling @pastorfoluadeboye the woman who has suffered with me, she stood by me when we had nothing.  I was the poorest and the least known of all the men after her 55yrs ago. But she left all those who were famous, well to do and she picked me. Thank God,  God had made us a success and proven all the oppostions back then wrong. One of the Nigerian top gospel singers, Tim Godfrey, has revealed the name of his fiancée, who accepted his proposal on Valentine’s Day. Tim shared pictures of himself and his wife-to-be, identified as Erica, on his Instagram page on Thursday. During the  engagement  announcement last month, the father-of-one had shared pictures of the proposal, where he concealed the face and identity of his future bride. In his latest post, the singer tagged her Instagram handle and shared photos of them in matching outfits. He captioned the photos, “Just take a look at the person I get to do life with. @ericakatrina_, you’re my greatest reward for God! I love you, my still waters.”

Strike continues as ASUU NEC fails to suspend action

The industrial action by members of the Academic Sftaff Union of Universities, ASUU, will continue as members of the National Executive Council, NEC, of the union did not consider the option of suspending the action at its meeting which ended in the early hours of Monday in Abuja. Checks by Vanguard showed that the national leadership of the union only briefed the meeting on their interactions and submissions made to the Prof. Nimi Briggs Committee set up the Federal Government to renegotiate the 2009 Agreement with the union. A source said the leadership also told the meeting about the intervention of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in the matter and the subsequent nationwide solidarity rallies held by the Congress and its affiliates last week. “Since there is no sign of any serious commitment on the part of the government, there was no need for the NEC to consider suspending the strike. Bianca, wife of late Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, may have taken a slapping lesson from her late husband, if Reno Omokri’s suggestion is anything to take home. As DAILY POST well covered, drama ensued at the inauguration of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as the sixth Governor of Anambra State on Thursday. Wife of outgoing Gov. Willie Obiano, Ebelechukwu and Mrs Bianca Ojukwu engaged in a physical combat during the event. DAILY POST gathered that dignitaries including Obiano were seated when Mrs Obiano stepped in and moved to the front row where Bianca was seated before the fight began, and video footage shows the Ojukwu’s widow slapping the ex-Governor’s wife. The action drew the attention of security agents and some personalities who pulled Mrs Obiano off the hold of Bianca who was visibly shocked at the action.
