Portugal and Ghana will be seeking to begin the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup on a winning note when they square off against each other in one of the Group H matches.

The game however promises to be very intriguing as both teams will be vying to make a bold step in the first stage by getting the much-needed advantage, which will boost their qualification for the next phase of the competition.

Portugal picked up the ticket to Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup after their impressive 2-0 victory over North Macedonia in the European playoffs for the competition, while Ghana, on the other hand, overthrew Nigeria on away goal rule after both legs of the encounter ended up in a draw.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), today charged Nigerians to rise to the occasionand join hands to stop the elected leaders bent on destroying public universities and squandering Nigeria’s wealth. This also came as the academic union called on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency on the poor condition of public universities in order to rescue the sector from outright collapse. The University of Ibadan Chairperson of ASUU, Prof. Ayoola Akinwole, stated this Wednesday, during a press conference held at the Large Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan. The delegates who stormed the voting arena alleged that electoral officials were assisting the delegates who could not write, contrary to the announcement made earlier by the electoral committee that only one electoral official attached to each state would be allowed. Some delegates from Rivers State have alleged rigging in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary at the Eagle Square Abuja. The delegates who stormed the voting arena alleged that electoral officials  were assisting the delegates who could not write, contrary to the announcement made earlier by the electoral committee that only one electoral official attached to each state would be allowed.
