Lagos government shuts down Chrisland Schools

According to a news report by the Punch, the Lagos State government has closed down Chrisland Schools in Lekki, Lagos State, indefinitely over the recent immoral video involving a 10-year-old pupil.

It was gathered that some of the students of the school engaged in immoral acts during a trip to Dubai to participate in the World School Games.

The news of the indefinite shut down of the school was contained in a press statement released by the Lagos State government on Monday.

The government said, “In the meantime, all Chrisland schools within Lagos State are hereby closed, pending further investigations."

The Punch also reported that pupils from the elite private school located in Victoria Garden City had been suspended indefinitely, especially the 10-year-old girl, since she was a "major actor" in the "immoral act."

But the mother of the young lad released an 11-minute video claiming that her daughter was drugged and raped by some male students at the school.

The Lagos State government added that the matter is currently being investigated.
