At the 2023 Oscars, Nigerian female artistes were dressed to impress. From the red carpet to the stage, they were dressed in stunning and glamorous ensembles that were sure to turn heads. Many of the artistes opted for traditional Nigerian styles, such as the Iro and Buba, which is a two-piece outfit consisting of a blouse and wrapper. Others wore modern and contemporary designs, such as jumpsuits, gowns, and ruffled dresses. Many of the outfits featured vibrant colors and intricate designs, such as beading and embroidery. The artistes also accessorized their looks with statement jewelry and headpieces. While we understand the emotions this has generated, we assure the public that our first approach as an institution was to assume parental roles by offering support to those involved and ensuring that nothing affected their senses of esteem. However, after a comprehensive evaluation of the situation, we cannot help but express how scandalised and distressed we feel as mothers, fathers and instructors with a relationship that holds a direct bearing on the development of those involved. Leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) led by its’ President, Biodun Ogunyemi Chief Obafemi Jeremiah Oyeniyi Awolowo (1909 – 1987) was Premier of the Western Region from 1952 to1959, seven years in total, yet the profound influence he has on Nigerian education lingers on from the 20th to the 21st Century. Perhaps it would be there forever, nobody can say. Therefore, it is possible for a thoughtful policy to influence any aspect of society. So with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). It does not matter if the policy was followed or not, by future governments or institutions. In the case of ASUU, it was not followed. In spite of that, ASUU has influenced not only the universities but both the primary and secondary education. I am not sure of pre-primary education. Lagos government shuts down Chrisland Schools

According to a news report by the Punch, the Lagos State government has closed down Chrisland Schools in Lekki, Lagos State, indefinitely over the recent immoral video involving a 10-year-old pupil. It was gathered that some of the students of the school engaged in immoral acts during a trip to Dubai to participate in the World School Games. The news of the indefinite shut down of the school was contained in a press statement released by the Lagos State government on Monday. The government said, “In the meantime, all Chrisland schools within Lagos State are hereby closed, pending further investigations." The Punch also reported that pupils from the elite private school located in Victoria Garden City had been suspended indefinitely, especially the 10-year-old girl, since she was a "major actor" in the "immoral act."
