The United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has said that he was grateful to those risking their lives to reveal to the world what is happening in Ukraine, amid the Russian attack on Ukraine on multiple fronts.

Blinken disclosed this in a tweet via his Twitter handle while reacting to the death of Fox News Cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski and Ukrainian journalist Oleksandra Kuvshynova.

Recall that Zakrzewski, a video journalist for Fox News, was killed in Ukraine when the vehicle he was traveling in outside of Kyiv with another reporter was struck by incoming fire, the network said.

“Very saddened to hear that @FoxNews cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski and Ukrainian journalist Oleksandra Kuvshynova were killed covering Russia’s war against Ukraine. My deepest condolences and wishes for a speedy recovery to our @StateDept correspondent who was injured in the attack.

“I am grateful to all those risking their lives to show the world what is happening in Ukraine. The United States condemns Russia’s ongoing violence, which is putting the safety of journalists and other media workers in Ukraine at risk,” Blinken wrote on Twitter.

On Monday, Blinken condemned Russia’s attack near Ukraine‘s border with Poland.

Ukrainian president, Volodymr Zelensky said on Wednesday March 16, peace talks with Russia were becoming 'more realistic' but more time is needed for any deal to be in the interests of Ukraine.    Zelensky made the early morning statement after his team said a peace deal that will end Russia's invasion of Ukraine will be struck with Vladimir Putin within one or two weeks because Russian forces will run out of fresh troops and supplies by then.   'The meetings continue, and, I am informed, the positions during the negotiations already sound more realistic. Kaduna govt confirms 34 killed, over 200 houses razed

The Kaduna State Government on Tuesday confirmed the killing of 34 persons, with several others injured in a violent attack in Kaura Local Government Area of the state. DAILY POST reports that suspected gunmen had on Sunday, attacked Kagoro community, killed several people, including two military personnel. Mr. Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, who confirmed the killing in a statement on Tuesday, said two military personnel lost their lives in the attack with several others injured. He said security agencies have reported to the Kaduna State Government that after search operations and detailed checks, 34 people have been confirmed dead following Sunday’s attack on Kaura.
