The pandemic has been a drag, no doubt about it. But it certainly hasn’t cramped Charli XCX’s style. If anything, the lockdowns and loneliness has got the Brit’s creative electricity firing.

Charli XCX today releases Crash, her fifth studio album and second LP since the start of the global health crisis.

In those two, strange years, Charli has released two more DJ mixes and a live album. Her most recent LP, How I’m Feeling Now, was recorded in a single month during isolation, dropped in May 2020, and was nominated for the Mercury Prize and a Brit Award for British female solo artist.

However, Kusma Vati from Varanasi, an 80-year-old woman in India has left many shocked after she admitted that she has been eating sand and gravel for the last 65 years. According to her, she was 15-years-old when she first ate sand and gravel to ease an upset stomach. There has been no looking back since then, sand and gravel have become a part of her diet. Free mosquito nets distributed in Rivers The Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas Nigeria Limited (NLNG) and the United States President’s Malaria Initiative (US-PMI) have begun the distribution of free mosquito treated nets on Bonny Island, Rivers State. A statement by the General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development,  Andy Odeh, in Port Harcourt, said the exercise was part of the plans to make the island Nigeria’s first malaria-free zone. He said the foreign partner, US-PMI, donated 273,450 nets for the campaign.
