The pandemic has been a drag, no doubt about it. But it certainly hasn’t cramped Charli XCX’s style. If anything, the lockdowns and loneliness has got the Brit’s creative electricity firing.

Charli XCX today releases Crash, her fifth studio album and second LP since the start of the global health crisis.

In those two, strange years, Charli has released two more DJ mixes and a live album. Her most recent LP, How I’m Feeling Now, was recorded in a single month during isolation, dropped in May 2020, and was nominated for the Mercury Prize and a Brit Award for British female solo artist.

ASUU strike: Nwajiuba says FG working on alternative funding structure for universities The Nigerian government is currently working on proposals it can use to resolve the ASUU strike, including a new scheme in which universities implement a different way of earning funds. This was disclosed by Emeka Nwajiuba, former Minister of State for Education and a presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in an  interview  with Channels TV on Sunday. He stated that the implementation of alternative funding structures is a necessity for university autonomy. What the former minister is saying Nwajiuba apologised to Nigerian students for the continued strike, taking responsibility as their minister. “On behalf of the FG, we want issues to be understood. We have had nearly 15 strikes in 20 years. Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, carpet FG By Ekene Obi Motorists and commuters were stranded along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday when some students, under the aegis of the National Association of Nigerian Students, South-West zone, protested against the ongoing Academic Staff Union of Universities strike and the fuel scarcity in the country.
