Fruits with Low Sugar that are Healthy and Good for Diabetics

-
Image
The glycaemic index is the value assigned to a food depending on how quickly it releases glucose (sugar) into the bloodstream. The currency of energy in the blood is glucose. If a food has a high glycaemic index, it means that it releases energy into the bloodstream faster, and vice versa. Faster release of energy means a more pronounced spike in blood sugar levels, which is not good for a person with diabetes.
